Watch: First look inside Notre-Dame ahead of reopening

[ad_1]

A restored Notre-Dame cathedral will quickly re-open in Paris – five-and-a-half years after a hearth ravaged the Gothic constructing.

On Friday, France’s President Emmanuel Macron visited the cathedral to mark its imminent re-opening, kicking off a programme of ceremonies that may finish with an official “entry” into the cathedral on 7 December and the primary Catholic Mass the following day.

The outcomes of the renovation, which value €700m (£582m), have till now been a closely-guarded secret, with only some photographs capturing the progress of the constructing work launched over the previous couple of years.
