Rebel forces in Damascus have declared the capital metropolis “free” of long-time ruler Bashar al-Assad within the early hours of Sunday.
Video, from the Associated Press, seems to indicate crowds of individuals gathered within the metropolis, whereas gunfire may be heard within the background.
President Assad is claimed to have left Damascus by airplane for an unknown vacation spot.
