WBSSC recruitment scam: Two arrested by ED in West Bengal school recruitment case, details here

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Kolkata, has arrested two accused in reference to a case linked to the West Bengal college recruitment rip-off, officers stated.

As per an official launch, Prasanna Kumar Roy, the intermediary and Chandan Mondal, his essential agent, on November 28, 2024, and November 26, 2024, respectively within the case of Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ Posts Recruitment rip-off within the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) within the state of West Bengal. Both had been produced earlier than the Hon’ble Special Court (PMLA), Kolkata and the Hon’ble Court has granted ED custody until December 2, 2024.

ED initiated the investigation on the idea of two FIRs filed by the CBI underneath varied sections of IPC, 1860 and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 within the matter of the unlawful appointment of Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ Posts within the Government School of West Bengal for providing appointment to the undeserving, non-listed and below-ranked candidates and depriving the deserving and real candidates and with out sustaining equity, in felony conspiracy with one another by flouting the related Rules.

Further, CBI Chargesheets revealed {that a} complete of three,432 (1125 Group ‘C’ 2307 Group ‘D’) candidates had been appointed/really helpful illegally for Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ Posts by the officers of WBCSSC in felony conspiracy with others.
